This Project alters and extends the existing St Josephs Wing at Werribee Park to create a boutique hotel and conference centre. The broad design approach was to pay due homage and show sensitivity to the historical context of the existing complex and landscaping in order to preserve the unique character of the park. The additions comprise of a three storey wing, extending to the western end of the St Joseph’s Wing. The ground floor, raised on a stepped sandstone plinth, houses a pool pavilion and gymnasium with two levels of accommodation above. The extension is connected to the existing building with a glazed link to create a shadow line.
