A proposal for a 150 unit hotel at Moorilla Estate, as part of the MONA facilities. The proposed hotel cantilevered 24m over the River Derwent and was proposed to be constructed utilising prefabricated modular hotel suites.
Extensive liaison between the architects, ourselves as structural engineers, and geotechnical engineers was undertaken. Structural design and analysis was undertaken by our office through the Schematic and Design DEvelopment phases to demonstrate the feasibility of the project, and consultation was had with builders to develop construction and installation processes.
