Stage Two of the Frueauf  Village consists of 4 x four  storey accommodation  buildings, Sapporo, Nagano,  Albertville and Lillehammer,  including the commercial  laundry facility, admin. office, storage and communal utility  facilities on the ground floor  adjoining two of the buildings.  The design response involved  maximising amenity and views  while being mindful that the  buildings of Stage Two would  be in the foreground views of  the central activity building.  The roof decks and mezzanines are located to  optimise views from the other  buildings towards the summit  and over Astra to the distant  valley. The selection of materials are  in-keeping with a palette  previously stipulated by the Frueauf masterplan. To the  palette was added corrugated  colorbond and zincalume  sheeting, due to their durability in such a harsh environment
