The Nobbies Visitor Centre was originally designed in 1999 to house a major seal-themed ticketed attraction, including an underground train tunnel leading to Seal Rocks.  The current project involved refurbishing the centre and making alterations to amenities and a new underground interactive display.

The Centre receives around 300,000 visitors per year, and entry to the centre is currently free. Nature Parks primarily generates revenue from café, corporate functions and merchandise sales. There is also a small interactive exhibition space providing information about the local environment and Seal Rocks as well as a children’s indoor play area.
