The Stonnington Depot is home to a number of Council and community services including the Waste Transfer Station, animal pound, Stonnington Environmental Education Centre, St John Ambulance and the State Emergency Service. It includes a 160,000 litre capacity underground water tanks and a truck wash recycling unit that is expected to reduce water consumption by 75 percent, saving 1,080,000 litres of water annually More than 140 Council staff work at the site and deliver a broad range of services including Urban Design, Environment, Waste Collection, Street Cleaning, Road and Drainage Maintenance, Parks and Gardens, Compliance and Response and Fleet Maintenance.
