Melbourne Grammar School officially welcomed a new addition to its community with the opening of the Grimwade House Multipurpose Learning Centre. The Grimwade House Multipurpose Learning Centre, which is part of the Federal Government’s Building the Education Revolution programme, was officially opened on 19 August 2011 by Member for Melbourne Ports, Mr Michael Danby MP. The building is home to classrooms, a LOTE centre, before and after school care facilities and will also provide for school holiday programme activities. The Federal Government funded $3.2 million for the building, with the School community also providing funds
