The National Emergency Services Memorial located on the gently sloping shores of Lake Burley Griffin pays tribute to the thousands of men and women who have served in Australia's emergency services. It was opened by the Prime Minister in July 2004.

It consists of a three-dimensional, six panel frieze, which is a collection of images reflecting the diversity of emergency services personnel at work. Each section of the wall is 10m long x 2.6m high, of different shapes, constructed in precast concrete from a latex mould in which the images were created.

The project required a design life of 200 years for the precast panels, and therefore great care was required in detailing of joints etc, and the specification of materials.

Felicetti provided structural engineering design services for this project
