New ski resort based on the concept of a Greek Village. Surrounding a central restaurant/cinema building which serves as a meeting place, are 8 three storey high apartment buildings, consisting of a mixture of one, two and three bedroom units. (A village around a piazza). In addition to snow loadings, the challenge of construction in the snow fields is the limited 7 month window between the end of the ski season and the start of the next in which to build a project.
Felicetti were involved in Stage 2 of the project as structural engineers from conceptual stage through to completion of construction. Felicetti developed an innovative steel framed and Bondek slab solution for the second stage of the project which enabled the builders to erect the structure quickly as prefabricated elements.
